The  preliminary program of the INSPIRE Conference 2013: “The Green Renaissance” has been published.

Preparations for the Annual Conference of INSPIRE .The conference takes place in Florence, from Sunday, June  23 to Thursday June 27 .

Three important workshop at the Conference INSPIRE 2013, promoted by the associations EUROGI and AM/FM GIS

At the  INSPIRE Conference on  Monday, June 24 three workshops sponsored by these associations will be hold .We are able to present a detailed description of these associations.

GI, SDIs in the evolving EU society
The main actors of the  WS will be EC-JRC, EUROGEOGRAPHICS, Geonovum (NL) and EUROGI.. The aim is  to deal with the issue of  the centralized and decentralized GI within INSPIRE.
EC, mapping agencies, users and service providers, experts in GI and SDI will present and discuss the hot topics related to GI, such as the initiatives EULF and ELF in Europe, the production process , distribution and use of GI at the beginning of the millennium , according to the emerging  SDI models.
Italian sub-national SDIs and GI central dimension: check-point and trends
The major players are CISIS-CPSG and IGM .WS will aim to provide strategic and technical information on how Italian regions and central mapping agencies act in order  to fulfill the INSPIRE directive and related issues that affect the management of the territory.

Sub national EU SDIs : best practices gallery and criticism
The WS, organized as "bar-camp", will have as mayor players European best- practitioners (about six) of sub-national SDI, which  will be working to introduce exemplar  elements of sub-national SDI, which will be commented  by specialized discussants argued by the presenters, for the benefit of participants in the WS, so that they will get a unique insight into how to apply the principles of INSPIRE on a local level .

During the workshops interpretation and simultaneous translation services into and from Italian will be offered any time .

Only two weeks left for sending proposal about the communication for Conference ASITA 2013

On the website www.asita.it you will find the application  for sending  communication proposal for the 17th National Conference ASITA , hold in Riva del Garda (TN)
from November  5th  to November 7th 2013.
This year there will be a lot of new interesting stuff but also the return of the poster sessions.
