FreeGIS.net take parts in the Conference ASITA 2013

This year, the annual conference organized by ASITA takes place in Riva del Garda from November 5th to 7th. The conference is an opportunity for FreeGIS.net to show the archived goals and the coming programs   ,scheduled even after the end of   INTTEREG’s financings.
The report  "FreeGIS.net a solution for publishing and managing spatial data  comply with the OGC and INSPIRE standards " will be part of the session :"The integration of spatial data: methods, standards, interoperability, data- infrastructures ", scheduled  for Wednesday, November  6, at 4.30 p.m . The Virtual Machine FreeGIS.net and SFScon13

The Virtual Maschine FreeGIS.net  will be presented  during the event  SFScon13 , which takes place in Bolzano on  November 15.The machine can be used very  by the Reference Implementation’  users . In fact, the VM comes with " included batteries ", which means that  the application are already configured to allow the user to interact immediately and  explore the sample data.

This year SFScon13  will be guest of  TIS Innovation ParK

The South Tyrol Free Software Conference will be held in Bolzano at  TIS Innovation Park in Bolzano on Friday, November 15 https://sfscon.it/ .
We report the participation of Arnulf Christl-co-founder and president of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo) and member of the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Architecture Board-and Athina Trakas, Regional Manager OGC. Arnulf, in the morning, will present a paper entitled "Three Decades of Openness in Geospatial: A Brief History of Geospatial Open Standards, Open Source and Open Data". In the afternoon, Athina and Arnulf Christl will discuss  together about OGC, INSPIRE and  geographical free software.

Light Remotely Piloted Aircraft System ,Rome, November 15th

The Italian Association for RPAS Light (Light Remotely Piloted Aircraft Sistems, - so-called " small drones " ) , ASSORPAS , http://www.assorpas.it/ ,  has organized the workshop : “Problems and opportunities of the Italian context " on  November 13th  at the congress enter  Cavourin  Rome. The workshop provides an opportunity for a  public presentation of this young Association and its strategies , it also aims to outline the actual national situation by identifying the main problems , strengths and short and medium term prospects  .
